How long does evaluation usually take and what can users do to speed it up.
Hi, I have submitted several algorithms yesterday, and it has been almost 24 hours and there has not been any results for any of them, with the constant message: "Calculation in progress! This can take up to few hours".

As per the title of this thread, may I ask how long does the evaluation usually take, and is there any ways we users could do on our side to reduce this time?

Thank you very much.

I have been having a problem, exept for weeks. I do not know why it is not running or returning any results. It runs offline.

that's a very good question. The example algorithm I submitted has also been processing for several days now. Seems like something on their end isn't working correctly.

Quantiacs is receiving new trading strategies at a much faster rate than we have in the past, and there are times when our evaluator may need additional time to process the backlog of strategies.

Please be aware, that if will take us three business days before we have completely processed a strategy.  On the first day, we are able to run a complete back test, but it takes the second and third day before we can calculate the live Sharpe Ratio and other statistics.  If you submit a strategy during the weekend, it will take until almost the middle of the week before our system can calculate the live test results.

Regards,

Eric
